Benoit Delaveau
Benoit has dedicated his life to the art of Photography. Practicing his passion, he had worked in many areas involved with imaging, alternately as a photographer and a photo technologist consultant. He has published hundreds of technical articles in the French photographic press about the usage of digital photography and the ways to improve the results with new technology.
Passionné de photographie depuis l'age de 14 ans, Benoit a toujours travaillé dans le secteur de l'image, soit comme photographe professionnel, comme technicien spécialiste, journaliste / testeur, ou comme professeur de photographie. Benoit a publié deux livres et de nombreux articles sur la photo numérique.
“Four Seasons” set #1
These pictures have been taken using a large format camera (5x7inches film size) equipped with the best German lenses on Kodak Ektachrome 64 professional film. The results are so extremely sharp et deeply detailed than it’s possible to count the blades of grass. You will appreciate the seasonal changes on these two brother walnut trees located in the south-west of France, near the town of Cognac where the famous brandy comes.
Ces photos ont été faites voici une vingtaine d'années avec une chambre de très grand format équipée des meilleurs objectifs Allemands. Le piqué est exceptionnel. Il est possible de compter la moindre branche de ces arbres qui étaient situés prés de Cognac dans le sud-ouest en France.

“Four Seasons” set #2
Located in Silicon Valley CA, south of Stanford University campus and north of Hewlett-Packard headquarters, this isolated tree is a symbol of how nature have been shaped by humans to accommodate their will. Benoit has worked at the same exact location and pioneered a technique consisting of multiple digital photographs.
Cet arbre est situé à l'extrémité du campus de la faculté de Stanford, en plein coeur de la fameuse Silicon Valley à quelques métres seulement du Xerox park ou la souris informatique a été inventée. Grâce à une technique d'assemblage de 8 prises de vue numériques, la définition de ces photographies est d'environ 100 millions de pixels, procurant une netteté saisissante.
“Ansel Adams' Footsteps ”
These artistic black and white photographs have been taken in Yosemite Valley, CA, using a large format camera (4x5') equipped with the best German lenses. The results are extremely sharp et deeply detailed.
Originally, these photographs were made to be published in the famous French magazine, Reponses Photo.
Ce portfolio est composé de photographies noir & blanc effectuées en 2002 dans le parc national de Yosemite en Californie aux endroits exacts ou plusieurs décennies avant le célèbre photographe Ansel Adams avait posé sa chambre. Travail publié dans Réponses Photo.
